Wait so you said that if I buy a slightly lower grade diamond I’ll have extra money to buy more and bigger carrots, but if I eat those carrots and my eyesight gets better will I be able to see the flaws in the diamond and then I’ll have to buy a new one later anyway?
My local jeweler gave exactly the same advice to help us stick to our 4000 euro budget, ended up getting a 0.96 carat , color K, clarity SI1 and faint fluorescence to compensate for the faint color. On a 18k yellow gild band. This saved us so much and allowed me to get carat size i wanted because i didnt want a lab . This video helped me confirm what our jeweler said and make the choice. Wow. Where to start with Osiris. This dude is a serious GODSEND. I went to a physical store to look at diamonds. I had 0 idea what clarity, color, or anything was. I felt at the store I was being "sold" and did not like that feeling at all. After watching his videos I learned a ton, ordered my ring online, saved a bunch of money (seriously thousands) and got an overall better ring.
Do yourself a favor and listen to whatever this guy says. He is spot on with the color, clarity, cut, everything. I personally ordered from Rare Carat as I found the search filters and criteria matched more compared to the other online stores.
