Lab-Created vs Natural Diamonds: What’s the Difference?

Lab-Created vs Natural Diamonds: What’s the Difference?

Let’s talk about lab-created diamonds vs natural diamonds! 💍 Both of these stunning engagement rings cost the same, but one features a 1.71ct natural diamond and the other a 4.02ct lab-created diamond. The natural diamond has a near colorless grade, while the lab-created is completely colorless. 🌟 Both diamonds are VS2 clarity, but the only real difference is how they’re formed.

Which one would you choose? The larger lab-created diamond or the natural diamond? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Great video! Dont forget time and depth for natural diamonds is much greater to form. Also inclusions. Some people don’t like inclusions, However being a geology student, I love my diamonds with inclusions for that fluorescence! Bam! Thank your videos rock!

  2. They shouldn’t cost anywhere near the same price. So how can you blatantly lie openly and say let’s talk about how I’m going to rob you with my shity false phylosothy. Sorry ! But I’m being truthful….

  3. For me TRULY, The meaning of diamonds are love, loyalty, sincerity & family. what makes me what MANY friends have told me I am, "A true diamond in the rough", meaning in today’s society. But the REASON I LIKE the real mined diamond is because they are precious (my middle name lol) but also contain faults and imperfections, like myself.
This creates much more realism & symblism of the love for me in each beautiful diamond & reminds me of my beautiful mother each n every time.

  4. I have both. Affordability is, of course, a factor. In your example, I’d go natural, as I don’t actually like whopping big stones 😂😂

  5. The lab for sure. More for my buck! 😊
Wait though, can a jeweler tell that the lab was created in a lab?
    Either way, still the lab.

  6. I’d go for the natural only because I like the color a bit more. But generally I prefer other stones. Our rings are sapphires.

  7. Lab and second hand/ vintage diamonds forever. There is simply no good reason to have new mined diamonds anymore, not when the price is someone’s life and health.

  8. I’m definitely a lab diamond supporter but I do like the look of the smaller natural diamond better I like it being near colourless and smaller in that setting.

  9. Lab created… I do wish the folks saying natural would look up how the natural ones are mined. Sure a couple might be ethically sourced the majority are not.

  10. If you go for natural buy a second hand vintage diamond ring, yes the diamond still was mined in unfair conditions but at least you are not contributing to the mining of new ones and you’ll even get a more unique and special design

  11. I love that we can lab make. However I hate that the blood money for mining is no joke. But surfficed to say I still prefer the way the natural diamond looks over the lab made diamond. Jmo

  12. Best explanation I’ve heard yet. They are the same material. 100% diamond, just came about in different ways. And lab created are also 100% conflict free. No question as to what people should be buying.

  13. I prefer previously loved jewelry, especially familial jewelry, if it’s “fake” I couldn’t care less. Visually I liked the naturally occurring diamond better because I like seeing some wear in my pieces but I would not buy it new.

  14. Lab created. Work in diamond mines has a history of human abuse. These lab diamonds are the solution.

  15. I like lab created its prettier than natural and i assume cost less as the machine used to make it is 200k or more

  16. lab for sure! my husband and i just celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary. my ring is a .27ct solitaire in white gold, it’s what we could afford at the time.

i wanted a new ring, a pear shaped lab created diamond. sadly, this years vet bills basically ate up any surplus funds. lost my elderly cat in march, lost my budgie 3 weeks ago. we got a kitten and he got sick, so vet $ 5 meds later…

i am trying to restock the savings so maybe in the next year or two i can get my dream ring! i much prefer lab so i can guarantee it’s not a blood diamond.

  17. Since we’re in fantasyland anyway with those prices…I’d choose the natural diamond, since in my fantasy the diamond is sourced by a team of seven chipper dwarves who are happy to be there. There’s something about the look of the natural one… even before you said which was which I already knew. The smaller one was just more beautiful. In the real world…I have a half carat diamond that came from Canada.

  18. I think I prefer whatever gemstones that are passed down to me from my family. Recycled, reused, and they have a story behind them! ❤😊

  19. Lab created are just as beautiful, if not more! But, the lab created industry has gotten out of control & too big for their britches!! They are WAY overpriced & basically not worth much more than the metal their set in! Of course, natural are way overpriced also! They are NOT an investment!!

  20. I have cubic zirconia and ppl don’t even know it’s not real.
    GET. WHAT. YOU. LIKE.
    nobody has to know

  21. I’d prefer to reset a vintage natural diamond. I’m definitely not interested in supporting cruelty in any way. I like the outside vs. freezer ice analogy.
